Alan Wardle
Alan Wardle is Head of Corporate Affairs at the NSPCC, heading
their lobbying and influencing work with key political
audiences.
His background is in government affairs, heading up that
function at the Local Government Association and before that at
Stonewall. While there he led Stonewall's lobbying and campaigning
work, including on the Civil Partnership Act, and established their
policy and research function. Prior to that Alan was in the civil
service, doing various policy, finance and private office jobs in
the Department for Work and Pensions. Alan studied law at the
universities of Glasgow and Cambridge, and qualified as a
solicitor.
Alan is also a trustee of the British Institute of Human Rights
and Kaleidoscope.
