Sarika Patel
Sarika Patel is a business leader with over 20 years of blending
public, private and political organisational experience. Having
been through this valuable experience she is now at the sharp end
of organisational development as group director of strategy and
corporate finance for one of India's leading privately owned
conglomerates. Her responsibilities include setting vision and
strategy for group companies; acquisition and market entry
strategy; corporate finance, and restructuring and reorganisation.
Sarika has acquired her exceptional depth of experience through
her career progression from starting her professional career at
Price Waterhouse, early coalface roles in private enterprise and
increasingly senior positions in the public sector culminating in
being director of innovation at London Development Agency managing
an investment budget of £50m a year. From there she moved into the
advisory business as leader of the technology M&A practice and
technology sector lead for the firm at Grant Thornton where she was
responsible for mandate wins on both buy and sell sides in a
cross-border deal environment.
Also she has served in a number of senior non-executive roles
including privy council representative on the court of Brunel
University and on the board of several innovation centres in the
UK. She joined the court of the University of Greenwich in
September 2010.
