Fern Britton becomes a Centrepoint room sponsor
Centrepoint welcomes much loved television presenter, Fern Britton, best known for presenting ITV’s ‘This Morning’, as the latest person to become a Centrepoint room sponsor.
Fern Britton said:
"They say that into every life a little rain must fall. But for young homeless people it must seem like a flood of suffering that's never going to end. That's why I'm sponsoring a room for Centrepoint. My monthly donations will help provide a young homeless person with shelter and all the support they need to get their lives back on track. Sometimes we all need a little helping hand, don't we? I hope you'll join me in offering one to young people who really, really need it right now."
Catherine Simmonds, senior fundraising officer at Centrepoint said:
“We are so pleased that Fern is a Centrepoint room sponsor and are grateful to her and all of our supporters for the difference they make to homeless young people. Centrepoint room sponsorship is such a great way of helping to give vulnerable young people somewhere safe to stay, along with the support they need to make sure they stay off the streets for good.”
Over 75,000 young people were homeless in the UK last year. Without a safe place to call home, young people find themselves vulnerable on the streets. Just £12 a month is all it takes to sponsor a room at Centrepoint and give a vulnerable homeless young person the chance to get off the streets for good. Just 40p a day not only pays for a room for a homeless young person but also for vital support that they may never have been given before.
