John Bottomley, Centrepoint’s sports development manager, a role funded by Sport Relief, said:

“Our ‘Sports Wise’ programme helps homeless young people get involved in sport and fitness and encourages them to start thinking about their health and diet, important aspects of life which young people often neglect when they become homeless. Taking part in sport also has numerous other invaluable benefits, including helping young people build and maintain relationships and providing the opportunity to develop confidence. This is a fantastic donation and one which will be well received by the young people in Centrepoint services.”

Andrew Stone, Account Executive at M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment said:

“Centrepoint does amazing work providing young people who are on a downward spiral with the support they need to turn their lives around. It is very rewarding for us at M&C Saatchi to be able to contribute to that work. I hope the young people enjoy the trainers and, who knows, maybe we’ll have helped encourage the next Thierry Henry or Lewis Hamilton!”
