RBS ensure Christmas food collection is not hampered

— filed under:

Staff at the Royal Bank of Scotland have shown their charitable instincts this Christmas donating hampers of Christmas food for homeless young people.

Festive hampers for young people this Christmas

Les Clancey from the Royal Bank of Scotland has coordinated this act of generosity, encouraging his colleagues to think of those less fortunate this Christmas.

The festive hampers which were beautifully packaged and include Christmas treats including mince pies and chocolates will be delivered to Centrepoint’s accommodation-based services across London in time for Christmas day.

Head of fundraising, John Raynham said: “This is a very generous donation which will provide something extra special to homeless young people on Christmas day. Christmas is a time when people over indulge in food and presents- and often don’t spare a thought for the many homeless young people who do not have a safe place to call home. Something as small as adding just one extra item to the shopping trolley can amount to an incredible and generous gift. We are so grateful to all the staff who helped make it feel more like Christmas for homeless young people at Centrepoint.”

Centrepoint’s Countdown to Christmas appeal is on until Christmas day. Centrepoint needs to raise £266,437 in 40 days to support homeless young people in Centrepoint services over the Christmas period. Just £24 can provide a bed for a homeless young person on Christmas day, £70 could pay for accommodation over the Christmas week for a homeless young person. With your help, we can give a homeless young person a happy Christmas – and a better future.
