Rubicon Project donate time to transform a Centrepoint service
A team of staff from leading pioneers of Ad Network Optimisation, The Rubicon Project, donated their time to totally transform a Centrepoint property for homeless young people.
Many of the young people living in the service have been through Centrepoint direct 24-hour support services, and are now supported by Centrepoint’s Housing Support and Development Team. They are supported by a key worker who visits them in the self-contained property. For many, this is the first step towards independent living as they begin to manage a tenancy and bills.
Regional director of operations at Centrepoint, Clare Norton, said:
"Around 800 young people stay in Centrepoint beds each night. Volunteers play a key role in what we do and we are extremely grateful to The Rubicon Project for transforming the home of some of the young people we support, making where they live the comfortable and welcoming home they need."
Tina Billington at Rubicon Project said:
"The day was very enjoyable and it was great doing something that meant so much to others. Although we were absolutely knackered by the end and it took just as much effort to finally get the paint off ourselves we really gained a sense of pride in what we had done and also felt it was a good team building experience too. Thank you to everyone at Centrepoint for helping set this up and we hope to work with you again in the future."
