The Vodafone Foundation supports Centrepoint
The Vodafone Foundation has shown support for homeless young people in London offering a donation of £3,600 to Centrepoint.
Central London is in one of 25 retail regions in which the Vodafone Foundation is giving to the local charity of their choice, extending its theme from last year of ‘unlocking potential in young people’ continuing in 2009.
John Raynham, Head of fundraising at Centrepoint said: “You can’t escape seeing youth homelessness on the streets of Central London. At Centrepoint we are committed to helping vulnerable young people turn their lives around, providing essential housing and much needed support to tackle the issues that led them to become homeless and offering the chance to turn things around with counselling, accredited education programmes, life skills courses, and opportunities to work. This donation to our Central London services will have a great impact on the work that we do providing support to young people when they need it most. Our thanks go to the Vodafone Foundation”.
Stuart Jordan, Regional Store Manager for Vodafone said: “I am delighted that we are able to contribute to Centrepoint’s work and help young people in the area. It is inspiring to see just what the charity can achieve locally. We all believe our contribution will help make a difference to young people in London.”
