Centrepoint's influencing services

We want to make a difference for young people – a difference that lasts

We work to raise awareness of the causes and consequences of youth homelessness by conducting research, examining policies and offering practical solutions. Our regional development team works with local authorities and local agencies around the country, devising and co-ordinating strategies for developing policies and delivering much needed services.

Central to our work is our belief that policies, practices and public opinion will only be changed to make a lasting difference if the views of socially excluded young people are heard at every level of decision-making

Policy and Research Work

Centrepoint believes that dealing with the social exclusion of young people requires an integrated response starting with the provision of a safe home and building on this to create firm foundations. This means responding to young people in all spheres of their lives: practical, personal, social, learning and work.
