We are … A charity that exists to benefit young people and communities (especially the most excluded, disadvantaged, and marginalised), and does so by being a creative community of staff, volunteers, supporters, clients, donors and partners focused upon the value we create for them. Our ultimate goals are … That we share with others: A socially inclusive society. That is specific to us: That no young person will ever fail to realise their potential by being caught in the social exclusion trap. To give young people on a downward spiral (especially those at risk of homelessness) a chance to turn things around and build a more fulfilling future. We think … Dealing with the social exclusion of young people requires an integrated approach to securing a safe home and building on that foundation. We believe that … Socially excluded young people need firm foundations and support, but also need to be challenged and empowered to fulfil their potential. Social exclusion wastes individual potential and means society misses out on this untapped resource. We believe that society’s attitudes and actions are a part of what makes an individual socially excluded. We want to change society’s attitudes and actions. Everything we do is vital and interdependent in achieving our central purpose – providing accommodation and other support, working with partners to secure more for our clients and client group, learning from our experiences, and influencing many audiences. |
