Centrepoint, the UK’s leading charity for homeless 16-25 year olds is today the recipient of close to £10,000, a generous donation by law firm, Addleshaw Goddard.

Centrepoint Chief Operating Officer, Seyi Obakin was presented with a cheque for £9,125 by Paul Lee, Senior Partner and Trustee of the Addleshaw Goddard Charitable Trust at Centrepoint’s Central London foyer service, Salter’s City Foyer. Centrepoint foyer services offer homeless
young people semi-independent living in shared and self-contained flats with on-site learning and work services for young people committed to developing their skills and employability.

On being presented with the cheque, Seyi Obakin said: “I’m delighted to receive this generous gift on behalf of all the young people at Centrepoint, as it will make a real difference to their lives. Centrepoint give hundreds of homeless and socially excluded young people the chance to turn their lives around through the services that we provide. Our staff and young people hope that Addleshaw Goddard employees will not only help Centrepoint to raise much needed funds through their voluntary and fundraising activities, but that they will also have fun doing so."

Staff in Addleshaw Goddard’s London office will take part in a number of fundraising initiatives planned for the rest of the year.

Marcus Jamieson-Pond, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Addleshaw Goddard said: "We are extremely pleased to be supporting Centrepoint as one of our office Charities of the Year. Centrepoint was selected by people in the London office and was a very popular choice.  We look forward to working with the charity over the next year, to contribute some of the much needed funds that they need to continue their crucial work to help those people with less advantages than ourselves."
