Volunteering at Centrepoint |
|
Right from the start, volunteers have been a significant feature of Centrepoint.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life and get involved for many different reasons. Experience in this type of work is not essential - one strength of volunteers is the fresh perspective they contribute.
We offer opportunities in face-to-face work with our young people as well as in our business support teams. In addition to volunteering, we can offer Study Placements . We want to make the best use of your skills, while providing you with a unique and fulfilling volunteering experience. You could get involved in:
- Befriending – 1:1 work with a young person, usually over several months
- Activities with young people – assisting our Learning Team to provide learning opportunities such as CV preparation, discussion groups, cinema trips, cookery, sport, photography
- Reception duties in one of our accommodation services – being a calm and friendly presence, handing out keys, keeping an eye on the comings and goings
- Participating in one of our many Events to help raise funds
- And more! Fundraising, clerical and administrative work, IT support or gardening, for example
