Centrepoint’s services for socially excluded and homeless young people (aged 16–25 years) include: Up to six monthsCentrepoint Safe Stop – a stay of up to nine nights, emergency shelter for young people on the streets. First point of contact, assessment and practical support to help re-establish links with home or move on to more suitable accommodation. Centrepoint Berwick Street, Centrepoint Derwentside – stay up to six months, safety net to prevent young people ending up on the streets, support to return home or to find other suitable accommodation. Centrepoint Greek Street – young people who have slept rough. Builds confidence, skills and connections to move on positively. Up to two yearsCentrepoint Delancey House – for young women, offers support with skills development, learning and work. Centrepoint Ealing – mainly care leavers, helps with independent living skills, education, employment and moving on to longer term appropriate accommodation. Centrepoint Buffy House – homeless 16 and 17 year olds referred by the local authority. Help with skills for life, preparing for independence, learning and work. Centrepoint Frederick Street – young ex-offenders and single homeless people, support and help to develop skills, and access learning and work. Centrepoint Mansion House – mainly young ex-offenders, seven one-bed flats, support and help to develop skills, and access learning and work. Centrepoint Sutton – provides a link between local authority care and preparation for full independence, six self contained flats with learning and work support. Centrepoint Haberdasher’s House – young people with medium support needs (able to manage without staff on site 24 hours), help with learning and work. Centrepoint Hillyard Street – temporary move on for young people moving from Camberwell Foyer. Centrepoint Breakspears Road – pregnant women and single mothers, support in developing parenting skills, learning and work. Centrepoint Vauxhall Cross – for young people who have slept rough with complex needs, specialist support with drug and alcohol problems, mental health, lifeskills, education and training. Centrepoint floating support and development – provides a range of support to young care leavers or rough sleepers in their first independent home. Help with education, training and employment. Centrepoint housing support and development – provides a secure base in supported flats for young people to try out independent living, taking up work and learning opportunities. Centrepoint Bruce House Foyer, Centrepoint Camberwell Foyer and Centrepoint Salters City Foyer – Centrepoint’s foyer services offer shared and self-contained flats within service buildings with on site learning and work services, and IT training suites. For young people committed to developing their skills and employability. Specialist ServiceCentrepoint learning – specialist teams offering learning and work advice across Centrepoint’s services. Includes personal and social development, CV preparation, interview skills, job search and vocational guidance Centrepoint health – ongoing expert help for young people across Centrepoint services who have drug, alcohol, health and mental health difficulties, and other complex problems All Centrepoint services make links with other support agencies and specialists in the community, to ensure young people get the package of support services they need. |
