Your sponsorship could help change a young person’s life forever

A monthly gift of £12 could help Centrepoint provide everything a young person needs to escape the dangers of the street and make a better future for themselves.

Provide a safe home

Provide a safe home
Every month you will be helping to provide a secure and welcoming home for a young homeless person. This may be the first safe home they have had and in each of Centrepoint’s 17 different housing services, you can be sure that every young person will be provided with all the care they need.

Build confidence
Centrepoint Room Sponsorship ensures young people have access to Centrepoint’s innovative Learning Services, which provides practical lessons in budgeting, nutrition and health for young people. They are helped towards independence through contact with professional counsellors and, using the skills and training we provide, a young person is better equipped for the future.

Expand opportunities
The young person you sponsor can be helped to access educational opportunities through Centrepoint’s Learning and Development team. They are encouraged to get back into education or training, which may mean liaising with a college to help them return to a course they abandoned after being forced from home, or helping them to take their very first steps into higher education. Whatever the individuals’ situation, the Learning and Development team are able to help.

Improve job prospects
Once again, our Learning and Development team is able to help by providing an onsite recruitment and training service. A full range of occupational services, including IT training, work placements and interview preparation are offered alongside all the help the young person you sponsor will need to gain worthwhile employment.

Ensure independence

Ensure independence
Independent living is a skill. Many young homeless people are forced out of home before they have gained the skills they need to pay bills, cook meals and care for themselves.

Your monthly gifts will help esnure young people at Centrepoint are offered practical and emotional support, helping them to grow in confidence, gain independence and turn their backs on homelessness for good.

No matter how well prepared, living on your own, paying bills and caring for yourself for the first time can come as a shock for young people. Your monthly gifts will help to ensure they are offered practical and emotional support until they’ve properly settled and turned their backs on homelessness for good.

Please join the Centrepoint Room Sponsorship Scheme today and help us give Jean Pierre the second chance he so richly deserves - your support could change his life forever

Jean Pierre's earliest memory is of being repeatedly kicked by his mother.

As he grew up he remembers, “She would shout at me for anything… for silly things, like she couldn’t find her cigarettes”. His stepfather was no better and would taunt him saying he was no good and worthless.

Or perhaps you would prefer to help us give Tia the second chance she so richly deserves?

Her mother would verbally abuse her and regularly called her names, until it got worse and she started abusing her physically. ‘I never hit her back and kept everything inside. The only way I could release my anger and stress was to self-harm
