They are helped towards independence through contact with professional counsellors and, using the skills and training we provide, a young person is better equipped for the future. Expand opportunities The young person you sponsor can be helped to access educational opportunities through Centrepoint’s Learning and Development team. They are encouraged to get back into education or training, which may mean liaising with a college to help them return to a course they abandoned after being forced from home, or helping them to take their very first steps into higher education. Whatever the individuals’ situation, the Learning and Development team are able to help. Improve job prospects Once again, our Learning and Development team is able to help by providing an onsite recruitment and training service. A full range of occupational services, including IT training, work placements and interview preparation are offered alongside all the help the young person you sponsor will need to gain worthwhile employment. Ensure independence  Ensure independence Your monthly gifts will help esnure young people at Centrepoint are offered practical and emotional support, helping them to grow in confidence, gain independence and turn their backs on homelessness for good.
