Centrepoint Room Sponsorship Scheme FAQ's
Your questions answered...
What will happen when the young person moves on?
It may take up to two years before a young person is ready to leave Centrepoint. We will inform you of new residents' details through twice-yearly updates.
Will it be possible to meet the young person in the room I am sponsoring?
Protecting the safety of young people is our number one priority. For this reason, we will be unable to arrange for you to visit them. Please send any messages for a young people care of our head office only - we cannot guarantee a direct response for the young person.
Will the young person in my sponsored room have my name and address?
No. All correspondence is via our head office. The young person in your room never has your contact details and you won't have theirs. This will protect your mutual safety and privacy.
Will I be the only sponsor of the room?
This will depend on how many people support this important scheme. We hope that a number of people will sponsor each room.
Can I give more than £12 a month?
We are very happy for you to sponsor more than one room or give more than £12 a month. Simply increase your monthly donation by multiples of £12 for each additional room you wish to sponsor.
What will I receive?
- A twice-yearly report: Keeping you in touch with the young person's progress;
- A Centrepoint key fob: A small token of our gratitude;
- Help from a dedicated Centrepoint Room Sponsorship Coordinator: On hand to answer your questions and correspondence;
- A copy of Centrepoint Facing Forward: A collection of 35 portraits of young homeless people.
