Leave Centrepoint a gift in your Will Most people remember their children when they make a will, but the homeless young people who come to Centrepoint are rarely so fortunate. Your legacy could give them the help they so desperately need and, above all, give them hope for the future. Why is it important to make a Will?
Leaving a legacy in your Will is a straightforward and significant way to ensure that our work will continue for many years to come. Gifts of money, assets, personal possessions or property left in a supporters Will, will enable us to plan for the long-term needs of homeless young people. Without a valid Will, it is possible that your estate and belongings could go to the Crown, depriving your loved ones and favourite charities of your generosity. You may also be hit with inheritance tax - currently 40% tax on estates over £250,000. As charitable legacies are exempt from inheritance tax, remembering Centrepoint in your Will is an excellent way to distribute a percentage of your wealth, however small. All of your gift will go towards giving homeless young people firm foundations from which they can rebuild their confidence, self-esteem and self-respect. How to leave a Legacy to Centrepoint There are several different ways you can leave Centrepoint a gift in your Will:
Specific Legacy - A specific item such as property, jewellery or other valuables. a Will is the only way to ensure that your property, money and
belongings get distributed in the way that you want and yet less than a
third of all adults have made one!
