Why Centrepoint?

Young people become homeless for a variety of reasons…

Predominantly they are ‘pushed’ into it by family break-ups, abuse, violence and poverty at home. 80% leave home because they have no choice. All to often, they are not aware of other avenues that may be open to them, like Centrepoint.

They are often left them unprepared and vulnerable, with no option but to sleep rough.

Centrepoint believes that no young person should ever fail to realise their potential and gives young people on a downward spiral, especially those at risk of homelessness, the chance to turn things around and build a more fulfilling future. We do this through offering safe accommodation, counselling, education and training for life.
