Support Centrepoint at this year's SLEEP OUT

How many times have you seen a homeless person, huddled beneath their torn sleeping bag and cardboard boxes, trying to shelter from the cold and rain?

It's something many of Centrepoint's young people have experienced.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for 2011's Sleep out in London and the North East. We're on target to reach our £250,000. Donations can still be made until the end of January 2012.

Read on for more information on what Sleep Out's all about!

Registration is closed - we are not taking names for our 2012 event yet. Thanks

Centrepoint's Sleep Out on Thursday 10 November 2011 brings you a step closer to their reality and raises vital funds to ensure we can do all we can to help young homeless people.

By spending the night with 650 other 'Sleepers' in London's Exchange Square, Broadgate, you will experience the discomfort of trying to sleep on boxes on a hard, cold floor among the bright lights of the city and the noise of street cleaners, buses and late night revellers.

The next day at work, when you are looking forward to a hot bath, a satisfying meal and comfy couch, Sleep Out will become ever more meaningful. You will begin to understand some of the practical realities of being homeless in London. You may even wonder how you would have coped aged 16.

We now also have a Sleep Out taking place in the North East in Sunderland! Find out more here.

But why should you bother putting yourself through this? Well, meet Amy and read her story to find out why your support for Centrepoint matters.

Make a stand against youth homelessness and support Sleep Out 2011.
