Charitable Trusts and Foundations

Charitable Trusts and Foundations have made an enormous impact
on our work, allowing us to develop a range of projects which
enable homeless young people to turn their lives around.
We develop strong relationships with charitable trusts who
support us and give them a high standard of care and attention from
initial approach right through to timely reporting and funder
visits. We know that charitable trusts are often inundated with
requests for support but we are confident that the outcomes we
achieve with the resources they provide fulfil their grant making
objectives.

Capital Development Projects - Centrepoint Ealing
This is a three storey property owned by Centrepoint in
the London Borough of Ealing. 'Ealing' supports and helps make a
home for young people for 12 to 24 months. As it stands, Ealing is
dated, dark and not somewhere that young people or staff can be
inspired to live or work.
Typical of its 1980s design, the lay out of the hostel
with small rooms, small windows and long featureless corridors
creates a defensive and institutional
atmosphere.
Our capital development strategy covers:
Maintaining and repairing our
existingproperties - purchasing new furniture,
painting roomsand replacing broken fixtures.
Extending and improving the facilities at
ourhostels - creating learning rooms and providing
ITresources.
Purchasing and building new properties
This is how we plan to renovate the existing building at
Ealing:
- Improving the entrance, reception, training room and learning
areas on the ground floor to make the space more welcoming and user
friendly
- Updating the bedrooms with more natural light and furniture
that meets the needs of young people
- Modernising the kitchens and bathrooms to make them fit for
purpose
We will also build 'move on' accommodation for young people in
the grounds of the property as a stepping stone from the main
hostel into independent living.
